Joe Bochar is the guitar player’s guitar builder. He understands what a guitar should and should not be. Joe built his first guitar in 1989 in his father’s shed with nothing more than a picture and some basic tools. He's a self-taught builder who can best be described as more New Yankee Workshop than assembly line.

As a player for over 25 years, Joe Bochar could never find a guitar that did everything he wanted it to do:  have great tone, outstanding playability, a unique look, with the durability of a cinderblock. So he decided to make one.

He spent several years perfecting his vision of a great guitar. As a result Joe Bochar Guitars have a personality all their own, and are extremely versatile for players of all genres. Plug it into a vintage tube amp, pull the coil-tap and experience crystalline cleans and warm overtones. Plug it into a modern high-gain boutique amp, activate the bridge pickup, drop the hammer & ride the lightning.

Everything is built in-house, from the ground up, from raw materials by hand to exacting standards. Joe would never make an instrument he wouldn't want to play. It's more Tele than Strat, it's less LP than SG. It's not anything you've ever played before. each JBG guitar is hand-built from rough slabs of wood and crafted into a stunning instrument with amazing tone & versatility.
