The Argonaut, the doppelganger of the Daylighter Hollowbody, is the pinnacle of Kauer's Daylighter Hollowbody development. Unlike the traditional Daylighter Hollowbody, the Argonaut features a fully carved (internally and externally) Ambrosia Maple back attached to a hollow Spanish Cedar core. Completely hollow save for a block directly under the bridge and tailpiece to join the front and back together, the Argonaut features 60% more interior volume than a Daylighter Hollow while only growing 3/4" in the center and 1/4" deeper at the tip.
The Argonaut has the strongest, most unique voice of the Kauer Daylighter lineup. Huge, clear, warm tones reminds of our favorite laminated hollows while maintaining excellent feedback resistance and phenomenal midrange punch. Weighing in at an average of 7.25 pounds, the Argonaut maintains the Kauer standard of balance, comfort and fret access that the rest of the Daylighter line exhibits.
