Mario GuitarsĀ®' instruments have been hailed for their superior playability, lightweight construction, unmatched resonance and prolonged sustain. Many Mario guitars are the lightest guitars of their style, one of the major woods used is paulownia, which is known for being incredibly lightweight while also maintaining structural integrity and having unbeatable resonance. Mario's custom finishes and relic/aging work have been cited by many to be some of the best in this field. Mario is also proud of the fact that he also builds non-aged/pristine guitars.

A list of Mario's standard models appears below along with a photo survey of various instruments. Be sure to check in now and then to see what Mario has sent us. You won't want to miss such a special opportunity!

Mario T-Style (starting at $3,549)
Mario offers this model mainly in a 50s or 60s style, and the options are many; play around with different pick-up configurations and make a T that is totally just for you. Go classically twangy or add humbuckers for a crunch, there is no wrong way to enjoy playing this magnificent instrument.

Mario S-Style (starting at $3,549)
This is the second style Mario Guitars began building. They offer this model mainly in a '50s or '60s style, and the options are many. When the S-Style was first released in late 1950s, it was designed with comfort in mind. The T-Style had already been released and many people complained of the discomfort it presented with its hard round overs and slab body. Thus, the S-Style with its contours and curves came to the rescue!

Mario Honcho (starting at $3,549)
The Honcho is a hybrid guitar of Mario's own design. Utilizing the best of both the S and T styles, this hybrid guitar is comfortable, but also vintage-familiar. Lindy Fralin makes a special set of pickups you can only get in this model. You can flip the pick-up selector up to get that well rounded S-Style middle and neck pick-up sound, or flip the selector all the way down for some seriously delicious twang. Mario considers this model to truly be the Swiss Army Knife of guitars.

Mario Serpentine (starting at $3,549)
Mario Martin's first custom model was the Serpentine. This proprietary offset looks and feels vintage-familiar, but has a deceptive originality. Mario builds these guitars to be nimble, but without compromising tone or playability. The modern Serpentine has a featherweight mahogany body, 24 3/4" scale length and curvy offset waist. This beast harnesses the tone power of Lollar PAF Humbuckers or Mini-Humbuckers. The Serpentine feels like '60s offsets, but with more hard rock punch.

Mario T-Master (starting at $3,549)
The T-Master is a unique guitar because it was designed by guitar players for guitar players. This model (also frequently called a Jazzcaster or TelemasterĀ®) didnā€™t see a full mass production run until 2016, but has been one of the most popular mash-up guitars in the boutique guitar world since the mid-2000.

Mario Jazz Style (starting at $3,699)
The offset waist guitar was a later development in guitar history. Getting away from the straight-laced and semi-symmetrical "T" and "S" the Jazz Style was a whole new animal. A complicated electrical circuit provides much more variance and tone that its straight-waisted brethren. This style of guitar is one of the most unique and complex guitar designs out there and has graced the shoulders of artists such as Elvis Costello, J. Mascis, Thurston Moore, and many more.

Mario Jag Style (starting at $3,699)
The Jag Style was made to be nimble and responsive. The smaller 24" scale accommodated the increased popularity of surf music when it was introduced in 1962. Since then, the complex tone control and sporty feel has made the Jag endure the test of time. This offset ax has gone on to be appreciated by players from surf, to rock ā€˜n roll, to alternative, to indie.

Mario T-Hollow (starting at $3,699)
When the T-Style hit the market in the 1950s it revolutionized the way guitar music was played. The T-style is elegantly simple while also being remarkably versatile. How could one ever improve the T-Style design? Simple, hollow it out and give the sound some room to move!

Mario T-Deluxe (starting at $3,699)
When the T-Style hit the market in the 1950s it revolutionized the way guitar music was played. The T-style was elegantly simple while also being remarkably versatile, and that was great...for a little while. Then the 1970s came around, and loud, in-your-face hard rock was king. The T-Style needed more growl, more bite ā€” so enter, the T-Deluxe.

Mario El Chupacabra (starting at $3,549)
Just like its namesake, this elusive, mean-spirited guitar has quickly become a legend. While El Chupacabra looks like an ordinary T-style, the truth is she is anything but ordinary. Mario builds this model to produce a myriad of raucous tones with its T.V. Jones Filtertron humbuckers. This beast can go from low down greasy blues to country rock to mild twang in no time flat. Available in a 1 or 2 pickup version.
