The Beardsell Swingmaster electric guitar is more of an update than a reimagining of the classic Jazzmaster look and sound. The body is a lightweight swamp ash, finished in a decidedly millenial avocado green with matching head face. The brushed stainless Mastery OMV trem and bridge and gold anodized pickguard provide smooth mechanical operation and solid look. Beardsell wanted to offer one more position of parallel humbucking by adding a third pickup; the neck pickup actually contains two single coils. The main 3-way switch is bridge/bridge - middle/middle - neck with 250K controls (instead of the standard 1meg Jazzmaster pots) for a fuller sound. The rhythm switch is neck pickup only with the traditional 1meg/50k volume tone that provides a classic jazz sound. The neck has Beardsell's no-hinge carbon fibre reinforcement and a two-way adjustable truss rod. The curly maple neck is finished in a warm amber, with 22 stainless frets on a rosewood fingerboard, a bone nut and 6 inline Gotoh Kluson-style tuners.
