The 7JKS chambered solidbody electric is based on a classic electric - the Rickenbacker (7JKS). The body is made from reclaimed espave - the mahogany-like wild cashew wood of Panama (actually reclaimed during the canal's last expansion). Neck stock is mahogany. The 7JKS back cap is in matched espave. The top is bent/arched over the chambered back, and the guitar is available in 2 and 3 pickup versions. The tailpiece is hand-cast bronze hard-tail (trapeze) or the B-5 or 11 Bigsby, as is appropriate. Beardsell also makes these with the Hipshot two-point fulcrum tremolo bridge. The fingerboards, head-veneers and bridges are made with pau ferro wood.
