Named after one of Patch Rubin's favorite Radiohead songs, the Reckoner is a bit different than the other guitars he has built. Looking through Patch's lineup you might notice that he leans toward the Gibson aesthetic, however, as he was drawing guitar shapes he kept coming back to this one. While refining the design he realized it was almost a dyslexic Fender Jazzmaster and just decided to go with it. Patch has always been fascinated by the Rhythm/Lead switch on the Jazzmasters so that had to be a part of the design. What it does is essentially give you a preset for the neck pickup that you can set with independent volume and tone controls as well as have the typical options with the 3 way switch, volume and 2 tone knobs. The tone knobs are pull pots that split the coils which adds even more sonic options.
