Here is a variation on Verrilli's popular S syle with 3 hums but with a T style body that includes Strat forearm and tummy cuts, black finish and black headstock face, and all S style vintage top routes. According to Frank, "The mahogany neck with an ebony board gives it a very distinct sound, making it slightly more articulate and punchy; a good match when in humbucking mode." The 3 humbuckers give you 11 different pickup combinations. "Of all the split coil humbucker pickups I tried, Lindy Fralin Unbuckers by far sound the best" says Frank.
Frank is especially conscientious of comfort and weight in a guitar, particularly for the working musician. Since the weight from the 3 humbuckers adds some more ounces, these are built using light-weight alder wood to keep the total weight under 8 lbs. The T style body with the tummy and forearm cuts is especially comfortable when standing as the center of gravity of the guitar is more exagerated.
NOTE: this model is available with a regular S style body shape as well.
