This model came about from all the compliments Frank gets for his S style guitar with 3 humbuckers (that guitar usually has a mahogany neck and an ebony fretboard). When Verrilli combines that type of neck with Fralin's original designed Split Blade noiseless pickups, it produces a very thick articulate tone. According to Verrilli, "These pickups sound unlike any other hum canceling single coil pickup out there, kind of like a stacked single coil, but with a different construction that gives it its own distinct tone." The pickups can be wound with mild to heavy output.
