The Super Bender is the third addition to the Manlay Sound line up. Román simply called it “Super Bender” in honor to the Sola Sound “Tone Bender MKII Professional” and the Marshall “Supa Fuzz” of the late sixties. Both models shared the same circuit. Supposedly, the MKII was the fuzz pedal that Jimmy Page used with The Yardbirds and on the first couple of Led Zeppelin albums. Without a doubt, it’s one of the greatest fuzz pedals of all time. The “Super Bender” recreates the same MKII circuit. In its guts there are three germanium transistors which are hand selected and tested for optimum sound. The sustain is endless and the tone is awesome. Lots of shades of distortions can be achieved with the Super Bender: from almost clean to pure brutality, just at the touch of the volume of your guitar or the “attack” control. NOS germanium transistors are carefully selected and tested for the best possible performance. Fully handmade process.
