This approximately 00-sized instrument delivers rich sound, partially due to its select European spruce top and curly maple back and sides. Players may also choose a select red cedar top and East Indian rosewood back and sides.
The Junior's bolt-on neck is made of sturdy aspen-maple-aspen. There are 12 frets to the body, but the generous 25.4" or 26" scale keeps things from turning floppy if you tune down for open tunings. Fingerstyle players will love the wide spacing at the bridge and also the nut, where it's 45 mm. The fingerboard and bridge are East Indian rosewood. The Junior boasts balanced sound across the fingerboard and, given its similar size, would be an excellent entry point for classical guitarists wanting to explore the unique timbres offered by steel string guitars.
