FUZZ FACE CLONE
The Dasy takes its name from the family 'Dasyuridae', a unique collection of Australian carnivorous marsupials that include the Tasmanian devil, the quoll and mulgara. Pronounce Dasy as "Daisy" because, well it's cute, just like the Tasmanian devil. The Dasy however is anything but cute and will scream well into the night, just like our little furry little friends.
The Van Diemens Dasy fuzz pedal is based on the classic 2 transistor Arbitor Fuzz Face but with of course, Van Diemans' own touches added. These pedals can come with a variety of options, but all are created with '60s and '70s NOS or reclaimed germanium transistors and NOS or reclaimed capacitors and resistors. A choice of classic germanium transistors are utilized that can include, depending on availability, AC128's, AC125's and NKT72's, or a mixture of the above.
These components are hand wired, point to point on a board that roughly resembles the original PCB. However it is not PCB, more a hand made perf board. Each pedal comes with an external 9 Volt socket as standard.
There are two options for powder coat finish colour that include Hammered Blue, Hammered Grey, Black, White Crackle and Light Grey Sparkle. This pedal is not available in a hand painted finish.
Also available by request are on/off battery switches, a bias control and tone switching options.
